We’ve been answering these questions since 1988, and we’ve laid out the honest version here so you can plan with a clear head.

Whether you’re remodeling a villa in Dubai Hills, fitting out a unit in Dubai Mall, or refreshing an office in Business Bay, the sections below cover scope, cost, permits, timelines and what to actually expect. Jump to whichever heading matters most to you.

An interior decor company in Dubai turns a bare or existing space into a finished, working environment — covering design, joinery, ceilings, flooring, electrical, painting, HVAC, MEP and more, all under one roof. Perhour Technical Services has delivered residential and commercial projects across all seven emirates since 1988, with 25 trades kept in-house. Most home renovations take 4–10 weeks, and most commercial fit-outs take 6–16 weeks, depending on size and approvals. We handle all Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA and free-zone permits, and every project starts with a free site visit and a fixed, itemised quote.

General Questions About Our Dubai Fit-Out Company

1. What does a fit-out company in Dubai actually do?

We take a bare or existing space and turn it into something finished and functional — handling design, joinery, ceilings, flooring, electrical, painting, plumbing and more under one project manager.

2. How long has your company been operating in the UAE?

Since 1988 — just over 38 years of hands-on interior decor and renovation work in the local market.

3. Do you handle both residential and commercial projects?

Yes, both. Everything from private villa renovations and apartment makeovers to office fit-outs, retail stores, restaurants and healthcare spaces.

4. Which areas of Dubai and the UAE do you cover?

Every district of Dubai, plus all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.

5. Are you a licensed and insured fit-out contractor?

Yes. Perhour Technical Services is a licensed UAE contractor, registered with the relevant Dubai authorities, and carries appropriate insurance on every project.

Residential Renovation FAQs

1. What residential renovation services do you offer?

Kitchen and bathroom remodeling, joinery, flooring, ceilings, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and full villa or apartment renovations, all done in-house.

2. Can you renovate my apartment while I continue living in it?

Often, yes. We can phase work room by room and time the noisier jobs to fit your routine — we’ll work out the details at the consultation.

3. Do I need approval from my building management or developer?

Most Dubai buildings and communities require a No Objection Certificate before work starts. We handle that application for you.

4. How much does a home renovation cost in Dubai?

It depends on scope and finish level — our pricing guide starts around AED 15,000 for a bathroom and scales up from there. We give you an exact, itemised number after a free site visit.

5. Will my renovation add value to my property?

A well-executed kitchen, bathroom or full villa renovation using quality materials generally improves both livability and resale or rental appeal in established Dubai communities.

Commercial Remodeling FAQs

1. What types of commercial spaces do you fit out?

Retail stores, offices, restaurants and cafés, clinics, salons and spas, gyms, hotels, banks, showrooms, warehouses and more.

2. What is the difference between a shell-and-core and a fitted unit?

Shell-and-core means a bare structure with only basic services, needing a full fit-out. A fitted unit already has some finishes, which can reduce scope and cost — we assess this at the site visit.

3. Can you fit out a unit inside a Dubai mall or free zone?

Yes, regularly. We work within mall and free-zone landlord guidelines, including DDA and Trakhees requirements, and submit approvals on your behalf.

4. Do you work outside business hours to avoid disrupting operations?

Yes, particularly for retail, hospitality and healthcare fit-outs — we can schedule work in the evenings, overnight or during off-peak hours.

5. Can you deliver a turnkey commercial fit-out?

Yes. From concept design and 3D visualisation through construction, MEP, approvals and handover, one team manages the whole thing.

Cost, Quotes & Payment FAQs

1. Is the site visit and quotation free?

Always. We visit your space, talk through your goals, and provide an itemised quote at no cost and with no obligation.

2. How do you price a fit-out or renovation project?

Pricing depends on scope, materials, space size and site conditions. Every quote is broken down line by line so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

3. What payment terms do you offer?

Typically a booking deposit to secure your slot, with the balance staged against agreed milestones. Full terms are set out in your quotation.

4. Can you work to a fixed budget?

Yes. Tell us your number upfront and we’ll design a scope and material palette that fits it without compromising on safety or structural quality.

5. Why are quotes from different fit-out companies so different?

It usually comes down to materials specified, whether trades are in-house or subcontracted, warranty coverage, and how detailed the quote is. Compare the itemised scope, not just the total.

Permits, Approvals & Compliance FAQs

1. Do I need a permit to renovate in Dubai?

Most structural, electrical and plumbing changes need approval from your building management, developer, or Dubai Municipality — we check this during the free consultation.

2. Which authorities govern fit-out work in Dubai?

Depending on the project: Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA, the Dubai Land Department, and free-zone authorities such as DDA, Trakhees or the RTA.

3. Do you arrange Dubai Civil Defence (fire safety) approval?

Yes, where required for commercial spaces, we prepare and submit the fire-and-life-safety documentation for you.

4. Will my renovation comply with DEWA requirements?

Yes. All electrical and plumbing work follows DEWA standards, and we coordinate connection or load-upgrade approvals where needed.

5. Who is responsible for getting approvals — me or you?

We handle the entire approvals process — documentation, drawings, and liaison with the relevant authority or developer.

Timelines, Project Management & Process FAQs

1. How long does a typical project take?

Most home renovations run 4–10 weeks and commercial fit-outs run 6–16 weeks, depending on size, scope and approval timelines.

2. What does your project process look like from start to finish?

Consultation and site survey, design and 3D visualisation, itemised quote, authority approvals, construction, snagging, then final handover with warranty.

3. Will I have a single point of contact during the project?

Yes — a dedicated project manager oversees every trade on your job and is your one contact from mobilisation to handover.

4. What happens if there are delays?

We build realistic timelines and flag risks early. If something unforeseen comes up, we communicate it right away along with a revised schedule and any cost impact.

5. Can I make changes once the project has started?

Yes — changes to an approved scope are documented as a variation, with any cost or timeline impact confirmed in writing before we proceed.

Materials, Trades & Warranty FAQs

1. What trades do you cover in-house?

25 trades, including joinery, gypsum and ceilings, flooring, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, glass, metal and stone works, partitions and 3D design.

2. Can I choose my own materials and finishes?

Yes. We can source from our supplier network, or work with materials, tiles or fixtures you’ve already picked out.

3. Do you use quality materials suited to the Dubai climate?

Yes — brands like Knauf, RAK Ceramics, Jotun, Blum and Häfele are chosen specifically for their durability against Dubai’s heat, humidity and salt air.

4. Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. All workmanship is covered under warranty, with terms confirmed in your project agreement, alongside any manufacturer warranties on materials.
